Sword around 1550/60

Sword to one and a half hand ("knot sword"), Switzerland circa 1550/60 Two-edged, long blade with flattened middle ridge. In the short hollow flutes in each case five cruciform stamped, on the strong misalignment on both sides different Schmiedemarken. Iron, blackened, with thumb ring and S-shaped ending bar, ending in knotted knobs. Genuine, leather-covered handle with six-fold spiral-shaped knob. In all parts original, rare "knot-sword". Length 132.5 cm. An almost identical vessel in the Klingenmuseum Solingen.
