The splendid illustrations in the margins depict the world history by means of episodes from the book of Genesis: Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, descendants of Seth and Cain, death of Adam and the Ark of Noah. Modernized, enriched and supplemented re-edition of the wall map of the same name, published at Chez l'auteur in Paris in 1708. Exceedingly large and splendid world map, printed and composed of four copper plates as well as four border plates. The two large hemispheres are embedded in rich, splendidly colored illustrations.
