Ross Castle

Ross Castle near the town of Killarney was built in the 15th century by an Irish clan leader. The architectural style here is typical of Irish castles. A strong, strong keep / residential tower, a circumferential curtain wall with four corner towers. The residential tower is well preserved. The curtain wall and the corner towers have been preserved in parts. Inside, furniture and furnishings, mostly from the 18th century, are shown over four floors. It's definitely worth it and you get a good impression of life in Ireland back then.
