Renaissance coat of arms relief plate, Venice c. 1570. Walnut, carved, two cherubs holding the heraldic shield, flowers and tendrils. Very good age-related condition, with old contemporary restoration, in the middle, top inserted piece. It is probably an element of a paneling from a Venetian palazzo. On the back of a brass plate is screwed. "From the house of Volpe, Venice, 1570". Very nice and decorative. Width: 54.5cm and height: 30cm.
