Escutcheon 1880

Very nice alliance blazon from around 1880. The sign was hand carved from oak and ebonized (ebonisieren is the partial blackening of certain pieces of furniture to make it look like ebony). Very detailed and high quality finish. Very decorative. Dimensions: 57cm x 36.5 cm.

Blazon to 1600-1650

Very nice coat of arms in the style of aristocratic Todt signs from the period around 1600-1650. In the center of the shield taken at a gold background, man in period costume typical of the 17th century. Placed side foliage and tendrils. In plastically carved knightly helmet with crest in the form of a man with a burning torch. Original obtain color version. On the back of wrought iron with original suspension ring. Very good age-related condition, minor flaws on the brim of the figure on the crest and the torch in his hand the figure in the coat of arms is missing. No worm, neither old nor new! This coat of arms is derived, according to the collector of a sale at Castle Thorn, Fam. Baron von Hobe-Gelting on the Moselle. Very nice and decorative pieces. Power itself.
